The Canadian Off-Highway Vehicle Distributors Council

The Canadian Off-Highway Vehicle Distributors Council (COHV), formerly the Canadian All-Terrain Vehicle Distributors Council (CATV), originally founded in 1984, is a national, nonprofit, trade association representing the responsible interests of the major ATV, off-highway motorcycle and recreational off-highway vehicle (ROV) manufacturers, distributors and retail outlets of OHV related products and services. The member companies of the COHV account for over 90 percent of all the new OHVs sold in Canada.

New: COHV introduces the ROV e-course

The ROV E-Course is a free, multi-media, interactive online safety course available here 24/7. The E-Course is an important resource for the growing community of ROV enthusiasts and reinforces:

  • Key risk factors associated with ROV operation
  • Safe driving practices that will reduce risk of injury
  • The best resources for learning about your particular vehicle

The two-hour safety course helps develop safe driving habits but it is not a "learn to drive" course. It is intended to improve awareness about ROVs and inspire a safety-minded approach to off-road recreation. Users can save their progress and stop the course at any time and pick up later where they left off. At the end of the course you have the option of taking an ROV safety quiz to test what you have learned.
