COHV General Membership Information The Canadian Off-Highway Vehicle Distributors Council (COHV) is a national, non-profit trade association that represents the manufacturers and distributors of off road motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles and related products and services in Canada. Tier I membership in the association is limited to those organizations engaged in the business of manufacturing and/or distributing ATVs and Off-Road Motorcycles in Canada. Tier II membership in the association is limited to those organizations engaged in the business of manufacturing and/or distributing whole ATVs and Off-Road Motorcycles in Canada. Corporate Affiliate Membership: Manufacturers and Distributors of ATVs and Off-Road Motorcycle Related Aftermarket Products and Services. Tier I membership in the association is limited to those organizations engaged in the business of manufacturing and/or distributing whole ATVs and Off-Road Motorcycles in Canada. The Board of Directors of the COHV may, by resolution, admit as a new member any organization fulfilling the necessary criteria, having received a written request for membership. Tier I members have certain rights and privileges as outlined herein and are entitled to a full range of benefits and services offered by the COHV, including:
The fee structure for Tier I Members in the COHV is based on four criteria - an annual due of 4,500.00 dollars, a per unit amount which is currently $1.15 per unit sold at wholesale, a wholesale dollar amount based on each company’s percentage of total wholesale dollar sales of all member companies’ wholesale dollar sales, and a ‘purchaser assessment’ of 23.50 dollars per unit sold at retail which supports an industry development program. Member company fees are reviewed and approved each year by the Board of Directors during the budget process. The fiscal year of the COHV is from January 1st to December 31st. The main operating committee of the COHV is the Executive Committee. It meets approximately four times each year. The Executive Committee reports to the Board of Directors, which meets at least once each year. The Technical Standards and Compliance Committee, the Policy and Government Relations Committee, the Show Committee, the Public and Media Relations Committee, the Audit Committee and the Statistics Task Force meet approximately three to four times per year depending on the urgency and importance of the subjects being discussed. | ||||

Tier II membership in the association is limited to those organizations engaged in the business of manufacturing and/or distributing whole ATVs and off-road motorcycles in Canada. The Board of Directors of the COHV may, by resolution, admit as a new member any organization fulfilling the necessary criteria, having received a written request for membership.
