Toronto Motorcycle Show Continues To Add More Manufacturers
Toronto, Ont- The Toronto Motorcycle Show, the Canadian motorcycle and ATV industries’ premier motorcycle, scooter and ATV event, announced today new additions to the show floor including Italian scooter manufacturers, Lambretta and Vespa, leader of the threewheeled world, Lehman Trikes, custom bike builders, Orange-County Choppers, and many more. The show also announced the Rev Cycles Redline Fashion Review, featuring the launch of two Euro high fashion apparel lines from iconic motorcycle brands Ducati and Triumph.

Calgary, AB - All the latest models on display at the Calgary Motorcycle Show Calgary – The Calgary Motorcycle Show, owned by the Motorcycle & Moped Industry Council (MMIC), will present the newest 2009 motorcycles, scooters and off-road vehicles, along with a plethora of gear and accessories from all major manufacturers – on display for Southern Albertans at the Roundup Centre in Stampede Park from January 9 – 11th.

One person travelling by car in more populated areas such as cities and urban areas uses a lot of fuel to move from one place to another. This same vehicle, stuck in a traffic jam, idling and not going anywhere also generates enough pollution to cause us serious concern.

– The Canadian Off-Highway Vehicle Distributors Council (COHV) through its youth ATV safety initiative has launched it Fall youth safety campaign that includes print ads, posters and a Public Service Announcement (PSA) reminding adults that youth under 16 years of age should never be allowed to ride an adult-size ATV.

Canadian ATV Instructors Implement International Guidelines
Toronto, Ontario, August 12– The Canadian Off-Highway Vehicle Distributors Council (COHV) is pleased to announce that the Specialty Vehicle Institute of America (SVIA) has granted the COHV, in partnership with the All-Terrain Quad Council of Canada (AQCC), a royalty-free license to use and reproduce its ATV-ASI all-terrain vehicle training curriculum to train ATV instructors in Canada.

Toronto, Ontario, July - August- With fuel prices sky rocketing there is a growing interest in two-wheel transportation. In fact, stats collected by MMIC on behalf of its member companies are showing that motorcycle and scooter retail sales were up almost 13% year to date as at the end of May 2008.

2008 COHV Funding Promotes Responsible Off-Highway Riding
Toronto, Ontario, March 11 - The Canadian Off-Highway Vehicle Distributors Council (COHV) issued more than $800,000 in sustaining grant funding for 2008 to assist national and provincial rider federations with on going staffing and service support to their members and just over $500,000 in the first round of project funding grants to help Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) federations build on projects that support the OHV guiding principles regarding rider safety, training, education and environmental initiatives.
