- Wash your ATV thoroughly before it’s stored.
- Make sure the tires are in good shape and clean off all dirt.
- Change the oil and filter.
- Check for loose hardware while cleaning and tighten it.
- Make sure to empty fuel from fuel tank and carburetor;
- Clean and lubricate all the smaller moving parts.
- Check all adjustable linkages such as the brake pedal, throttle lever, etc.

- Clean the air filter. It’s a good idea to clean it after every trip anyway.
- Check the spark plug for stuckon carbon and make sure the electrodes are smooth.
- Check all lights, switches and wiring and make sure plastic parts are tight.
- Put boards under front and rear wheels.
- Remove battery and store it in a dry, warm location.
